Restaurant City Tips and Tricks

Restaurant City is one of the several popular games in Facebook made by Playfish. The game gives you an opportunity to create your very own virtual restaurant and decorate it with different indoor and outdoor items to make your very own restaurant unique and stand out above all others. You can also hire your friends as waiters , cooks or cleaners in your restaurant and level up the recipe you want to get money and level up and try your best to get the Gourmet Street(Hall of Fame) where the Elite RC players' restaurants are found.

Now here are some tips and tricks to become the owner of the best restaurant in the game:
Ingredients:
You can get in 4 ways, the first is the daily free ingredient where, obviously, you get your free ingredient everyday as you log-in, server restarts at about 12 noon -Tokyo Time I think. The next is the daily food quiz. Each day, you receive a quiz question in your inbox and if you answer the food quiz correctly, you get a free ingredient. The other way is the First Friend Visit where you can earn an ingredient by visiting the restaurant of your friend for the first time, the more your friends have, the more ingredients you'll have. Well, you can only get one ingredient per friend though and only at that "first visit". The last way is to trade with your friends, but inorder to have the ingredient you want, you must also offer one of your own ingredients and hope that your friend accepts the trade.

One trick of earning lots of free ingredients that I wanna share with you is to get to the main Restaurant City site and make some comments on the latest wall post there like "add me" and after about a couple of minutes you'll soon find a lot of people adding you. You can get a FREE INGREDIENT from them and don't you worry, you can just delete them after you get your ingredient or you can keep them as trade partners. . =)


Gourmet Points:
GP(Gourmet Points) is like the equivalent of "Experience" in other games, it's what makes you level up. For faster leveling your character (getting more GP at the shortest span of time), I recommend that you max at least one of each of the menus-Starter, Main, Dessert and Drinks. A level 1 dish gives you a 1.0 GP while a level 3 dish gives you a 2.9~3.0 GP, this is very big difference and makes your leveling a whole lot faster.

I'll also recommend you to max out your popularity(upper right side of the screen)-max is 50, by getting more "thumbs up" than "thumbs down".Getting more "thumbs up" is easy, you just have to make your service to your costumers better by cleaning all those clogged toilets, getting those trashes around your restaurant, having enough chairs for all of them and not to let them wait for too long. The more popularity you have, the more costumers will go to your restaurant and MORE INCOME and GP! ! !

Quick Coins:
For starters, getting quick coins is very crucial in starting your restaurant. There are two ways in getting quick free coins, one is getting to your friends' restaurant and picking up the trash which gives you 1 coin and 1 GP, well it's a big deal especially for starters. The other one is to scroll around you lot and click on the trees, as they "shake" they sometimes drop coins. . .

Employees:
There are no strict rules on the ratio between the cooks, waiters and cleaners, but I personally recommend a 4 cook : 3 waiter : 1 cleaner ratio cause believe me, cooking takes time and you don't want to get your costumers tired of waiting , are you? You can just get your tables close to the cook for the waiters to serve them much easily and you can also make some mazes, like other players do, inorder to delay your costumers a bit and buy time for your waiters to clean the table and get the tip.

Just don't forget to feed your employees every now and then (at least 75% in my opinion) and try to keep their faces green(happy) cause they move much faster if they are and thus, they are much more efficient . . . =)

Rest or Feed ? ? ? :
For me, I personally prefer feeding them fully before leaving your restaurant cause you're already assured of the 2000 coins(maximum) when you go back. Even when you spend about 1600 coins in feeding them (8x200(sandwich)), you're still assured of a 400 coin gain. Well, better have 400 than get nothing from resting. It also looks kinder to your resto's reputation than closing it.
